Meet the Surgeon
Andrew Kramer M.D.
Andrew Kramer is a native to Illinois, having grown up in Glenview and attended New Trier High School. He earned his Bachelor of Sciences with a Biology degree, Magnum Cum Laude, and bronze tablet from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. His medical degree was earned from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
He completed his surgical residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and while there spent six months abroad working in the National Health System in Oxford, England.
Board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Kramer has been in practice at Surgery Group since July, 1992. He is an associate clinical professor for Midwestern University, with physician assistant students under his supervision and guidance for their clinical surgical rotation.
Dr Kramer is a general surgeon who specializes in acute and long-term surgical needs.
He is an independent practitioner on medical staff at Northwestern Medicine, Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva and Northwestern Medicine, Central DuPage Hospital (Winfield), and Presence St Joseph Hospital (Elgin), and he has privileges at Valley Ambulatory Surgery Center (St Charles) and Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital Surgical Services (Geneva).
Dr. Kramer resides in the Tri Cities with his family and in his free time enjoys playing tennis and soccer, attending his children’s activities, and walking with his dogs.
